He played a teenage doctor and then Dr. Horrible. He glam-rocked it out as the lead in Broadway’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch. He serves as the president of the Board of Directors of Hollywood’s Magic Castle. He played a fictional (and extremely high) version of himself in the Harold & Kumar series.ย He was the main human in the Smurfs movie. He authored Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography. He and his husband have arguably the best Halloween costumes for them and their two kids. He’s done pretty much everything, or so says his blog and playbook from when he was the legendary Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother. And now he’s returning to Pace for the second time this year. That’s right, folks. Neil Patrick Harris will be our Inside the Actors Studio seminar guest on Wednesday, October 29, at 7:00 p.m. at the Schimmel.

Neil Patrick Harris is a critically acclaimed actor, producer, singer, and author. He is best known for playing Barney Stinson in the CBS television series How I Met Your Mother, for which he was nominated for four Emmy Awards. He has played the title characters in Doogie Howser, M.D., and Joss Whedonโ€™s Dr. Horribleโ€™s Sing-Along Blog, while also appearing in such varied films as Starship Troopers, Beastly, the Harold & Kumar series, The Smurfs, The Smurfs 2, and Gone Girl. He hosted the Emmys in 2009 and 2013 and the Tony Awards in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013, for which he won several special class Emmy Awards. In 2014, he starred as the title role in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway, and won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. And in 2015, he’ll be hosting the Oscars.
